Head’s Welcome

Dear current and prospective students and families,

My name is Shawn Cyr, and I am so proud to serve as the Director of Schools for Natchaug’s educational programs.

Our schools are special because we serve students who traditionally have not experienced success within the public-school system. It’s no one’s fault. Sometimes, students need a different setting to provide the necessary resources, and that is what we are proud to provide.

While we focus on academic rigor, that cannot be obtained until a student feels safe, comfortable, and has been given the opportunity to learn skills that will support their success. Our small class sizes, and clinical supports, allow students to focus on academics while also learning social skills and behavioral regulation needed to be successful when transitioning back to public school, post-secondary education, or employment.
